General Synod Election Address
Stephen Wall
I was brought up by Christian parents and baptised as a baby. I attended Sunday school
regularly. I went to King Edward V11 Grammar School which had a Christian ethos. I
married in 1972 and then had two children. I was confirmed when I was aged 28. I have
attended church regularly since. I spent 12 years on PCC at Great Bowden including
chairman and secretary of the church hall. I moved to Horninghold and joined the PCC
and became treasurer. After retirement I moved to San Pedro Spain in the Diocese in
Europe and joined the PCC of the Costa del Sol chaplaincy and became treasurer. I
returned to UK to Creswell and joined the PCC and became secretary. I am currently
involved with a Bible study group and often lead the group. I really would like to become
a lay member of General Synod as I feel that God has asked me to get involved at a higher
level in his church here on earth and particularly in the Church of England where l have
always belonged.
