VOTING FOR ME
In 2023, Liverpool clergy entrusted me to represent them
on General Synod. It has been one of the greatest
privileges of my ministry.
Serving on Synod has given me a deeper love for the
Church of England and a renewed confidence in its
mission. Whilst Synod is sometimes portrayed as distant
from parish life, I have seen first-hand the prayer,
discussion and hard work that supports local churches
across our nation.
I would be honoured to continue serving Liverpool clergy
for another term.
I love the Church of England.
I love its calling to serve every community and its unique
opportunity to help people know Jesus Christ.
Over the last three and a half years I have seen first-hand
how national decisions shape parish ministry. I have valued
contributing to those conversations and representing
Liverpool clergy within them.
I want to continue being a positive voice, committed to
faithfulness, thoughtful debate and the mission of the
Church.

WHAT I BRING
A Listening Ear
One of the greatest strengths of Synod is hearing
voices from across the Church.
I enjoy listening carefully, understanding different
perspectives and representing Liverpool faithfully.
Experience
In my time on Synod I have contributed to debates,
discussions and decision-making that affect parish
ministry across England.
Parish Ministry
As Vicar of St Mark's Haydock, I remain grounded in the
opportunities and challenges facing local churches.
Representation
I have valued helping clergy, deaneries and diocesan
bodies understand and engage with the work of Synod.
WHAT MATTERS TO
ME
The themes that have most shaped my
contribution to General Synod have been:
Evangelism - Helping people discover the love
of God in Jesus Christ.
Discipleship - Seeing people grow into mature
followers of Jesus.
Unity - Working across traditions whilst
remaining rooted in Christ.
Mission - Joining in God's work of bringing His
love and transformation to communities.
Youth engagement - Empowering young
people to have a voice.

In July 2025 I spoke in favour of
hearing from young people on the floor of synod,
something I did in 2008 as one of 4 Youth
representatives
