I offer myself as your lay representative for the Diocese of London to the General Synod —
rooted in long service across our parishes, deaneries, and schools.

긭 STANDING WITH SAVE THE PARISH
I stand firmly alongside the Save the Parish movement. Our parishes are the heartbeat of the
Church of England — the local home of faith, worship, baptism, marriage, and care; the place
where the Gospel is lived out week by week. I will advocate tirelessly in Synod:
• To protect our parishes from unnecessary closure, amalgamation, or erosion • To ensure
clergy and lay leaders are properly resourced and supported • To insist that any reorganisation is
genuinely consultative, prayer-centred, and rooted in mission — not just cost-cutting • To value
our church buildings as living, active centres of community life, not burdens to be managed
away

Parishes are not liabilities — they are our greatest mission treasure.

churches should be open, generous, inclusive places where no-one is made to feel an outsider,
where all belong, and all are encouraged to grow in faith and service. I will champion that radical
welcome in every debate and decision before General Synod.

궻 EXPERIENCE THAT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF
I bring proven experience at every level of the Church:
• 14 years as Lay Chair of Ealing Deanery Synod — representing parishes across one of the
largest, most diverse deaneries in the diocese; working with clergy and lay teams; building
consensus across different traditions; and bringing local concerns to diocesan and national
bodies.
• Director of the London Diocesan Board of Schools — leading our work across hundreds of
church schools, connecting parishes with children, families, and communities, and ensuring
our schools remain beacons of faith, service, and excellence.

These roles have taught me to listen carefully, speak faithfully, and work constructively for the
good of the whole Church — while standing firm on what matters.
