Why I am standing:

I want to be a representative for
local churches making sure that
as many churches as possible
have a vicar, especially in
poorer areas and despite the
cost of living crisis.

I think it’s really important that
we reach out to those who
aren’t Christians and help
churches to do that by
resourcing mission initiatives.

We need to invest in helping
those from other faiths
understand Christianity. For
churches to know how to reach
everybody in our communities,
making our churches more
diverse.

As a teacher who works in a
Church of England Secondary
School, I rejoice that our schools
offer excellent education for all
faiths and none. I’m really keen
to make sure that all the
opportunities church schools
have across our nation, are used
to help young people to clearly
understand the Christian story.
Safeguarding is integrated into
school life without being its
goal, I can help do the same for
church life.

Having been married for 31
years to a vicar I know the
realities of ministry and making
scripture relevant to today.
Because of scripture I do
support the historic
understanding of marriage.
