Hello. | am offering to be your Lay
Representative for General Synod.
My name is Linda Mann and I'ma
member of St. Thomas's Church in
Douglas. | came to work in the Island in
1990, met my husband Tim and the rest
as they say is history. We have three
grown up children and a cat called
Dennis.
Some of you may know me through the
various churches I've attended, some through our mutual children and
lengthy waits outside school gates and parties. Others may know me as a
writer, publisher, painter, gardener or actress.
Over the years I've been a member of the IOM Arts Council, Legion and
Service Players, Manx Drama Federation, and the IOM and Ramsey Art
clubs.
| would like to, if elected, and it's a big if, represent this unique Island as a
member of the laity at General Synod. An island that still has a strong
sense of community, biodiversity and faith in God, Father, Son and Holy
Spirit.
Although not Manx | will do my best to listen, interact
and pass on the things that people in our community
.. find important to them and their Church.
