General Synod Election Candidates 2026

Originally from Basingstoke,
Hampshire, I have lived in London
for 14 years. I trained for ordination
at Westcott House and describe
myself as liberal-catholic, with the
Eucharist being central to my
expression of theology.
Prior to ordination, I worked in the
Chaplaincy of Wandsworth Prison as
Project Manager for ‘Change for
Good’, a befriending and mentoring
programme. I also worked at The
Manna, a drop-in centre for
homeless and marginalised people,
and as a Verger at St James’ Church,
Piccadilly.
I have launched Fresh Expressions:
Open Table Canterbury and Outdoor
Worship. I am a regular attendee of
the Greenbelt Festival with interests
in all faiths, arts, and justice.
St George’s is a Gold Award Eco
Church and an Inclusive Church. We
have strong links with our local
schools and food banks. We run Pop-
In, a group for older people, and
Little Dragons, a group for toddlers.

for several years.
I believe in ‘being the change
we want to see’.
My calm and reflective
commitment to justice is
rooted in prayer.
I would like to see Equal
Marriage in the Church of
England during my lifetime.
My priorities
I am in a Civil Partnership with
Katharine Good, and we have two
rescue dogs, Wiggy (a Jack Russell
cross) and Rosie (a Shih Tzu). We had
the first Prayers of Love and Faith
during evensong at Canterbury
Cathedral. We enjoy walks in the
countryside, food, and music. We are
members of Singsmiths Chamber
Choir. I have family members who
live with disabilities and
neurodiversity. I care deeply about
diversity and inclusive issues.
About me
I have a love for the grassroots and
wish to represent my local community
by contributing to the important
debates on social and policy matters.
I will bring experience from my current
roles as Chair of Churches Together in
Shirley and as a Trustee of the
Longheath Community Centre.
